Listener-support WUWM is licensed to the University of Wisconsin Board of Regents and operated by the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee College of Letters and Science.
WUWM began broadcasting public service programming in 1964 on 89.7 FM. Since that time it has become Southeastern Wisconsin’s premiere source for news, information and entertainment programming. WUWM is home to the largest radio-only news department in Milwaukee.
Broadcasting with HD digital sound quality, WUWM provides two channels of programming, both on-air at 89.7FM and on-line.
