Amy Shapiro

Emeritus Advisory Board Member

Amy Shapiro is the owner of Amy Shapiro Family Law, LLC, where she assists parties with divorces, prenuptial agreements and post judgment issues among other family law matters, as counsel for a party, as a mediator and in collaborative divorce. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan (B.A. in philosophy) and received her law degree from Boston University.

Prior to private practice, Amy was a civil legal services lawyer representing poor people in Georgia and Wisconsin. She is a member of the Collaborative Family Law Council of Wisconsin and was the past president and board member of the Leander J. Foley Jr. Matrimonial American Inns of Court.

Amy was also on the board of directors of Jewish Family Services of Milwaukee and a past board member of 16th Street Community Health Center and the YWCA of Greater Milwaukee. She is active with the social justice committee of her synagogue. She is also currently on the Board of Directors of the Migrant Legal Assistance Program in Washington D.C.

She served on the WUWM Advisory Board from 2012-2023.
