Kathy Potos

Advisory Board Member

Kathy Potos is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and has a B.A. in Radio-TV-Film. Kathy began her broadcast career as a radio announcer and news reporter at WGLB radio in Port Washington, Wisconsin. She then worked in a variety of positions at WITI-TV6 in Milwaukee, leaving the station as program manager in 1987.

Following her departure from TV6, Kathy attended Marquette University Law School. Upon graduation, she was hired as an employment and benefits attorney at Foley and Lardner. Kathy then joined Blue Cross and Blue Shield United of Wisconsin and remained at Blue Cross and its successor companies, WellPoint, Inc. and Anthem Blue Cross, for 21 years. Kathy’s positions there included staff attorney; director of human resources; vice president of human resources. She retired in 2012.

Kathy joined the WUWM Advisory Board in 2016. She says, “As a former broadcaster, I am continually amazed at the high quality and diversity of the programming offered by WUWM. It is an unmatched and valuable asset to our community.”
