Laura Gough

Emeritus Advisory Board Member

Laura Gough is a Managing Director in Private Asset Management at Robert W. Baird & Co., responsible for portfolio and relationship management. Laura earned a B. S. degree in Economics from Virginia Commonwealth University and is a CFA® charterholder.

Prior to joining the Private Asset Management team, Laura was responsible for building sales and marketing opportunities across the firm’s different business units, as well as overseeing the sales and marketing of Baird’s corporate and executive services with key clients. Since joining Baird in 1991, Laura has also managed Baird’s Retirement Plan Services Department and Corporate & Executive Services Department.

In 2012, Laura was recognized as a “Woman of Influence” by The Business Journal of Greater Milwaukee for her many professional and personal contributions. In 2018, Laura received the G.I.R.L. Leadership Award from the Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast.

Laura has served on the boards of a number of other nonprofit organizations including the Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin, Bizstarts, Marcus Center for the Performing Arts, Milwaukee’s United Performing Arts Fund, TEMPO Women Affinity Alliance, Girl Scouts and Shorewood SEED Foundation. Laura is also very involved with her church, where she sings in the choir.

She served on the WUWM Advisory Board from 2010-2023 and served as chair from 2014-2018.
