Cirque du Soleil's 'Corteo' Comes to Milwaukee

Thursday through Sunday, the BMO Harris Bradley Center will be taken over by the magic of Montreal's Cirque du Soleil. A number of Cirque shows have been here before, but this is the first time the troupe is bringing Corteoto Milwaukee.

Like all of Cirque's shows, Corteo is both a story and a spectacle of precision acrobatics, beautiful music, and dramatic lighting and costumes.

Before the company arrived in Milwaukee, Lake Effect's Bonnie North had a chance to talk with Mark Shaub about the show and about Cirque du Soleil itself. He's been with the company since 2005 after a long career in Canada as a modern dancer and dance teacher. Shaub helped create Corteo and also serves as the show's artistic director:
