Scottish Band Skerryvore's 'Happy to be Home'

Irish Fest is underway along Milwaukee’s lakefront.  Tens of thousands of people will pass through the Summerfest Grounds turnstiles to take in both contemporary and traditional Celtic music.  And although it’s the largest Irish festival in North America, it actually features acts from all seven Celtic nations, plus Canada and the United States.

One of the favorites on the Celtic Rock stage are the Scottish band, Skerryvore.  They celebrated their tenth anniversary as a band last year, and their lineup has gone almost completely unchanged in that time.  Their extensive touring schedule lined up with Irish Fest this year and they returned to our studio as well for a set that included the song, “Happy to Be Home."

The band plays Irish Fest Thursday through Sunday in Milwaukee.
