Thursday on Lake Effect: Health Care Policy, Milwaukee Fashion Design, Fall Arts Preview, Pickleball

Thursday on Lake Effect:

The upcoming midterm elections could impact health care policy in Wisconsin and around the country. We speak with Barbara Zabawa about changes to the Affordable Care Act and some lesser known policy shifts. Then, designer and Milwaukee native Donna Ricco has worked in the fashion industry years. But on the eve of Milwaukee Fashion Week, she confesses she’s not a big fan of the modern fashion show. The Milwaukee Magazine’s cultural editor gives us a preview the Fall arts season, and we learn how Wisconsin became an important place in the history of… pickleball.

Guests:

  • Barbara Zabawa, UW-Milwaukee College of Health Sciences & Center for Health & Wellness Law
  • Donna Ricco, fashion designer
  • Lindsey Anderson, Milwaukee Magazine Cultural Editor
