Elephants in Thailand used to be the proud symbols of that country and culture. But a new documentary shows that the relatively few that remain are no longer revered and are often abused. Donald Tayloe is the co-director of the documentary The Last Elephants in Thailand, along with Michelle Mizner, produced by HAE Pictures. He is also the author of a book by the same name. He screened the film for the Milwaukee Independent Film Society in January. Tayloe spoke with Stephanie Lecci.
