Daniel Goldin is the general manager of Schwartz Bookshops and Lanora Hurley manages the shop in Mequon. The chain announced this week it would go out of business in March. Goldin plans to reopen the Downer Avenue location as the Boswell Book Company, and Hurley hopes to reopen the Mequon store as Next Chapter Books.

Irish Fiddler Eileen Ivers and her group, Immigrant Soul, will premiere Beyond the BogRoad tonight and tomorrow at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts in Brookfield. She told Lake Effect’s Bonnie North about how the Bog Road project came to be.
