Hundreds of people gathered on Earth Day last month to celebrate the opening of the Aldo Leopold Legacy Center northwest of Baraboo, just a half mile from "The Shack" Leopold wrote about in A Sand County Almanac. The new, green building includes a visitor's center and classrooms.
