Lynn Wagner Mehring, Wendy Walter and Karen Kelroy are mothers of sons who died in recent years. They're all educators in the Milwaukee area who joined together to write about their experiences with Judy Bridges at Milwaukee's Redbird Studios. They talk with Jane Hampden. Karen Kelroy's book about her son Keith's battle with multiple sclerosis is called The Year of the Zebra.
Executive director Laurie Nelson and music director Richard Hynson of the Milwaukee Chamber Orchestra talk with Lake Effect contributor Paul Kosidowski. Hynson will conduct the orchestra's first concert in more than two years this weekend-a "Renaissance Event" to signal the orchestra's return.
