Milwaukee poet Susan Firer reflects on the mixed bag that is our city with her poem, Milwaukee Does Strange Things to People. Firer is an adjunct assistant professor of writing at UW-Milwaukee. She’s author of four books of poetry, the most recent titled, The Laugh We Make When We Fall.
