Jay Bullock is author of the Milwaukee blog Folkbum’s Rambles and Rants, a liberal Milwaukee blog. He’s an English teacher at Madison University High School in Milwaukee and a singer-songwriter. At the end of the interview we hear Bullock singing Oklahoma Sky from his album, April Fools.
Lake Effect commentator Tom Matthews lives in Wauwatosa. He’s author of the novel Like We Care. He suggests we quit listening to political pundits during this campaign season.
Frank Aukofer’s book about Milwaukee and the civil rights movement is called City with a Chance, first published in 1968. The second edition came out last year, from the Marquette University Press. Aukofer worked as Washington Bureau Chief for the Milwaukee Journal and Journal Sentinel from 1970 to 2000. He speaks with Jane Hampden from his home in Virginia.
