Nikol Hasler is host of the podcast, The Midwest Teen Sex Show. She and a small crew have produced 15 episodes on topics including oral sex, female masturbation and gym class. She speaks with Jane Hampden.
Hasler will also be featured on ABC's Nightline Wednesday evening.
Lake Effect contributor Dr. Shaili Jain is a psychiatrist with Aurora Behavioral Health Services and a professor of psychiatry at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She wrote a book about the relationship between physicians and drug companies, and she maintains a website about doctors’ bedside manners. She talks with Jane Hampden about burnout in the “helping professions…” doctors, nurses, teachers and social workers.
Milwaukee chef Dave Swanson is a Lake Effect contributor and owner of Braise-on-the-Go offering cooking classes and advocating for the Slow Food movement. He recently joined the Wisconsin Mycology Society, where mushroom foraging is an art form. He talks with Jane Hampden about gourmet ingredients found in Wisconsin’s woods.
John Koethe reads his poem, Chester. Koethe was Milwaukee's first poet laureate, in 2000. He’s published several award-winning volumes of poetry including Falling Water. He's a distinguished professor of philosophy at UW-Milwaukee.
