Christopher Paul Curtis is author of The Watsons Go To Birmingham –1963. Earlier this year, Milwaukee’s First Stage Theater produced the story for the stage. Christopher Paul Curtis was in town for the January opening and spoke with Jane Hampden. Also this year, Curtis’ new novel, Elijah of Buxton, was named a Newbery Honor Book.
