Controversial Drug For MS

Dr. Bhupendra Khatri is working on a study to address a side effect of the MS drug Tysabri. (Photo courtesy of Aurora-St. Luke's Medical Center) Dr. Bhupendra Khatri is a neurologist with Aurora-St. Luke's Medical Center, and medical director of the regional MS center there. His study on treating a potentially fatal side effect of the MS drug Tysabri was published in the February issue of the journal Neurology, and was partially funded by the companies that manufacture the drug. Khatri and MS patient Derrick Berg spoke with Lake Effect's Mitch Teich.

Randi Kreger lives in Milwaukee. She's the author of The Essential Family Guide to Borderline Personality Disorder, published by Hazelden. Kreger also moderates an online family support group on BPD, and has begun a local meetup group on the subject. She told Lake Effect’s Mitch Teich that the all-consuming nature of BPD is what makes it an especially challenging illness.
