Army Major Deon Green is a JAG lawyer based in Balad, Iraq. She tells Bonnie North about what it's like on the ground and what she feels are misconceptions about the country. Army Major Deon Green is a Milwaukee native and a JAG lawyer. She is the principal legal advisor for the Commanding General of the 3rd Sustainment Command (Expeditionary). Major Green spoke to us via telephone from the unit’s main headquarters in Balad, Iraq. You can find a map here. She says her unit is about halfway through its tour of duty

William Povletich is the author of the new book Milwaukee Braves: Heroes and Heartbreak, and tells Mitch Teich why he loves the Braves era. William Povletich grew up in Mequon - but now lives in California. He's the author of the new book Milwaukee Braves: Heroes and Heartbreak, published by the Wisconsin Historical Society Press. He's also producer of the documentary, "A Braves New World," which aired this month on Milwaukee Public TV. He tells Mitch Teich that the Braves era came before his time, but captured his imagination nevertheless.

Fr. Melvin Michalski co-edited the new book about theologian Karl Rahner,  Encounters with Karl Rahner: Remembrances of Rahner by those who knew him. Father Melvin Michalski teaches philosophy and theology and is acting academic dean at Sacred Heart School of Theology in Hales Corners. He co-edited the just published book Encounters with Karl Rahner: Remembrances of Rahner by those who knew him, by Marquette University Press. Father Michalski will give a presentation commemorating Rahner tomorrow morning at Saint Francis de Sales Seminary. Our interviewed was scheduled to air yesterday, but our morning broadcast was preempted. He tells Stephanie Lecci about Rahner’s background.

Todd Levy is the principal clarinetist with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and talks with Bonnie North about his favorite pieces to perform. Todd Levy is the principal clarinetist with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.  He'll perform at the Pabst Theater tonight night as the second in the theater’s 2009 Artist Series. Pianist Jeannie Yu and soprano Tanya Kruse Ruck will accompany Levy for tonight’s performance. He talks with Bonnie North about some of his favorite pieces to perform.
