Philip Dine is author of State of the Unions: How Labor Can Strengthen the Middle Class, Improve Our Economy, and Regain Political Influence, published by McGraw Hill. A long-time journalist now based in Washington, D.C., Dine will be an adjunct professor of labor-management relations this fall at the George Washington University School of Business, and he is a periodic labor columnist for The Washington Times. He spoke with Stephanie Lecci about where the labor movement is at today.
