Susan Stratton is the executive director of the Energy Center of Wisconsin and was the project manager for its white paper on previous studies of energy efficiency in the Midwest. She spoke with Stephanie Lecci. The Midwestern Governors Association will present its Midwestern Energy Roadmap at its Jobs and Energy Forum in Detroit tomorrow. Milwaukee-born writer and historian John Gurda is a regular Lake Effect contributor. He’s the author of eighteen books including The Making of Milwaukee. Gurda talked with Stephanie Lecci about the history of Milwaukee's Grain Exchange.
Phylis Ravel is an Artistic Associate Professor in the Department of Performing Arts at Marquette University. Her play, Censored on Final Approach, plays at the Helfaer Theatre through October 11th. It's performed in conjunction with the Centennial Celebration of Women at Marquette.
