Nancy Olmsted lives in Cedarburg and teaches mathematics at the Milwaukee School of Engineering. She edited A Soldier’s Words, a collection of blogs by her late son, Army Major Andrew Olmsted. Major Olmsted was killed in action in Iraq on January 3rd, 2008. He was posthumously awarded a Purple Heart, a combat badge and a Bronze Star for valor. Nancy Olmsted will be at the Next Chapter Bookshop in Mequon on Monday evening to read from the book.
