Christine Specht is the President and Chief Operating Officer of Cousins Subs. The Menomonee Falls-based company has more than 150 stores in the Upper Midwest and Arizona. Specht was named President of the company in 2008 – it was co-founded by her dad, Bill Specht, Senior and his cousin Jim Sheppard. Our interview first aired in September.
Laura Kasischke's recent novel is In a Perfect World, published by Harper Perennial. She is an associate professor in the MFA creative writing program at the University of Michigan. Kasischke has written seven collections of poetry and seven novels, and was in the area this fall for an event at Next Chapter Bookshop. She spoke with Stephanie Lecci.
