Mark Kass is the editor of the Business Journal of Milwaukee. Rob Henken is the President of the Milwaukee-based Public Policy Forum. The organizations along with the UWM Center for Urban Initiatives and Research have formed a partnership to conduct surveys looking at key issues facing the area. They spoke with me for our monthly “Down to Business” segment. You can read the article on the survey results here.

Comedian Karen Williams talk to Lake Effect about the power of humor to heal. Comedian Karen Williams has been featured on HBO, LOGO and at other national venues. She is the creator of the Humor-at-Large Workshop series and the President and CEO of the HaHA Institute. She was in town last month to give a “Humor and Healing” workshop, sponsored by Cream City Foundation and the Sojourner Family Peace Center, and to do a comedy performance at Alverno College.
