Marti Wronski walks the line between baseball and the law, from writing player contracts to dealing with agents. Wronski is the general counsel for the Milwaukee Brewers. She was named one of the winners of the Forty Under 40 Awards from the Business Journal of Milwaukee; we’re speaking with five of the names on that list this week. Dr. Adel Korkor and Chris Bretzmann explain how building bone mass as a child takes more than just drinking your milk. Korkor is Director of the Bone Disease Prevention Center at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. Chris Bretzmann is a clinical pharmacist at Purity Dialysis Centers in Delafield. Korkor is lead author and Bretzmann a co-author of a study called "Effects of Gender, Alcohol, Smoking, and Dairy Consumption on Bone Mass in Wisconsin Adolescents" hat appeared in the Wisconsin Medical Journal.
Happy Birthday, Frank Lloyd Wright! Wisconsin author Bob Kann introduces young readers to the life of architect Frank Lloyd Wright. He is the author of Frank Lloyd Wright and His New American Architecture, part of the Badger Biographies Series, published by the Wisconsin Historical Society Press. Kann is a storyteller, juggler, magician and educator and has written several other biographies for young readers. He spoke with Stephanie Lecci from Wisconsin Public Radio's studios in Madison.
Women, humor, and science all come together in a new sketch comedy show in Milwaukee. Stacy Babl, Melissa Kingston, and Megan McGee are three of the four members of the sketch comedy troupe, Broadminded Comedy. Anne Graff LaDisa is the fourth member. The group’s latest show, called “Science and Surplus,” runs this Friday anjd Saturday night at the Alchemist Theater in Bay View.
