The Milwaukee Police Department and F-B-I believe they’ve disrupted a big street gang on the north side. The agencies announced Thursday that they’ve confiscated drugs, money and guns…and arrested dozens of members of the so-called “1-9 Nash Street Boys” gang. Police Chief Ed Flynn told WUWM’s Marge Pitrof that they operated around 19th and Nash.
Flynn says that because the U.S. Justice Department is involved, the penalties for some of those arrested could be significant. The federal charges carry more severe consequences than state offenses.
