The Marquette Interchange officially re-opens Tuesday after a long rebuilding project. While you may have already noticed new on and off ramps, you’ve probably been paying less attention to aesthetics. WUWM’s LaToya Dennis caught up with Project Manager Don Reinbold at the site of a mural on McKinley Boulevard; the paintings tell the story of escaped slave, Joshua Glover. Reinbold says the mural and many architectural features of the new interchange represent what’s called community sensitive design. That means making public projects fit the community.
