Transit Group Spokesman Says Voters Have Spoken

On the heels of Tuesday’s election, a new group promoting improved transit in southeastern Wisconsin is making itself known. It believes Milwaukee County voters spoke when they approved an advisory referendum concerning a one percent sales tax hike to fund certain services. The Coalition for Advancing Transit is introducing itself at the downtown Milwaukee Intermodal station. One member is Steve Glynn. He told WUWM’s Marge Pitrof that the region needs more efficient transit options if it hopes to develop economically and improve people’s lives. And he says transit means more than county buses.
