There appear to be frustrated parents and physicians when it comes to dealing with possible cases of the H1N1 or swine flu. Parents, concerned about their sick children, are heading to the doctor or clinic, only to find there’s really nothing that can be done. No vaccines, no medicine, and in some cases…no tests to determine whether the child indeed has the virus.
We spoke with Dr. Bradley Kirschner about what his office has been experiencing. He's a pediatrician with Children's Medical Group at Westbrook Pediatrics in Brookfield.
(Kirschner adds that he hopes parents are just as vigilant about addressing the seasonal flu when it arrives, including by having children vaccinated.)
