Several privately-held companies based in the Milwaukee area have revealed in recent months that they plan to go public.

Notably, after 40 years in the evolving printing businesses, Quad/Graphics announced that it’s among those planning to sell shares.

Two others that plan to issue public stock soon are RedPrairie and Generac.

Associate Professor of Economics, Brian Jacobsen of Wisconsin Lutheran College, says he’s been monitoring the news with excitement.
