The Obama administration says it will spend $78.5 million dollars to stop the spread of Asian carp to the Great Lakes.

Administration officials met Monday with governors from several Great Lakes states, including Wisconsin. Officials say they'll consider opening navigational locks on Chicago area waterways less often, to slow the spread of the giant carp to Lake Michigan.

Environmentalists and others say the voracious, invasive fish could threaten the $7 billion dollar fishing industry in the Great Lakes.
