All too often, there are violent crimes in the news. But what Milwaukeeans might not know, is that there’s a program here to help the community heal from crime. It’s Marquette University Law School’s Restorative Justice Initiative. The program brings together people who have committed violent crimes and people who’ve been victimized. They sit in a circle and talk about the harm caused. Here is a small portion of the stories offered at a recent session on the near south side.
