The latest Wisconsin Economic Scorecard indicates that 77 percent of registered voters here support a hike in the state's minimum wage. It sits at $7.25.
The poll, conducted March 3-7, also found:
-- 52% favor (34% oppose) the development of a tribal casino in Kenosha.
-- 60% oppose (33% favor) an expansion the state sales tax, in order to cut the state income tax.
-- 51% dissatisfied (49% are satisfied) with the pace of job creation in Wisconsin.
--50% favor (47% oppose) the legalization and taxing of marijuana in Wisconsin.
The UWM Center for Urban Initiatives and Research (CUIR) coordinates the quarterly poll, in cooperation with WisBusiness.com and WUWM 89.7 FM - Milwaukee Public Radio
This poll has a margin of error of 4.6%.
