High Winds Knock Out Power

Michelle Maternowski

A windstorm that blew through the area last night dropped tree limbs and caused power outages for up to 18,000 customers in Milwaukee, Waukesha and Dodge counties.

WE Energies says about 2,100 customers are still without power after the powerful wind storm. The utility says customers in Milwaukee and Waukesha counties should be back in service by noon, slightly later for those in outlying areas. Barry McNulty of WE Energies says damage from the storm followed a relatively straight line from Watertown east to Wauwatosa. Most of the outages were located north of I 94.
