On That Note: Resolutions

CPS
Robert Cohen

The New Year is a time when many people resolve to do something different, or better, or not at all in the coming months. It could be an effort to lose weight or stop smoking or learn a new language, or even just to be kinder.

Our On That Note contributor Robert Cohen is no different – although many of his resolutions are related to his work as a professional cellist.

"I must be able to do (things) better this year and it must be things I can improve on now that I've got a little bit of time to think about it," says Cohen. "So I do sit down with a cello with new eyes and new ears and try to make things work and sound better."

Cohen also shares his other resolutions along with his hopes for the new year in the music world:

Robert Cohen is the cellist for the Milwaukee-based Fine Arts Quartet.  The Fine Arts Quartet performs its first local concert of 2016 on January 31st.
