Millions Spent on Two Statewide Races

This year's Wisconsin Supreme Court and Department of Public Instruction races cost more than $3 million with spending by victors leading the way.An analysis by the Wisconsin Democracy Campaign shows candidates and outside groups spent more than $2.2 million on the race for a state high court seat. Incumbent Justice and winner, Pat Roggensack,  outspent challenger, MU Law Professor Ed Fallone by more than three times: $1.7 million to just under $500,000. In the DPI race, incumbent and winner, Tony Evers, outspent his challenger Don Pridemore $842,000 to $202,000.
