'101 Outdoor Adventures To Have Before You Grow Up' Offers Bucket List Ideas For Kids

As Alice Cooper once sang, "School’s out for summer." For a lot of kids, that means they're just a few short days away from the point where they complain about being bored.

Luckily, there's a cure for that affliction that comes through the advice of writer Stacy Tornio and the co-author of her latest book, her 15-year-old son Jack Tornio. Their book, 101 Outdoor Adventures to Have Before You Grow Up, is full of bucket-list ideas for kids and teens. For Stacy Tornio, it was important to get her son's input on the book.

"Most kids books are written by adults ... But we were like, 'Wouldn't it be cool if a book actually had a kid's perspective.' And so I asked Jack, 'What do you think of the idea of giving that kid's perspective?' And I really didn't know what he was going to say, and he jumped at the chance," she explains.
