Elizabeth Gilbert Returns to Fiction in Her Newest Book

Back in July, bestselling author Elizabeth Gilbert spent an evening chatting with Lake Effect's Bonnie North at Boswell Book Company.

Before she became a memoir mega star with Eat, Pray, Love, Elizabeth Gilbert was an accomplished and critically acclaimed short story writer and novelist.

And although she remains best known for her memoirs, her latest book finds her returning to fiction.

The Signature of All Things is an epic novel of exploration and wonder, spanning almost the entire 19th Century and the life of one remarkable woman, Alma Whittaker. It is a world of scientific inquiry, pirates, South Seas adventures and love.
