Arguments get out of hand quick on social media. That's not breaking news, but NPR is interested in speaking to people who've gotten into online arguments with total strangers ... and later regretted their behavior.

Or ... have you ever felt bad about the language or tone you took online and reached out to a stranger for a more civil conversation? Have you ever been contacted by someone who was aggressive in an online argument? How did that conversation go?

Jasmine Garsd is an Argentine-American journalist living in New York. She is currently NPR's Criminal Justice correspondent and the host of The Last Cup. She started her career as the co-host of Alt.Latino, an NPR show about Latin music. Throughout her reporting career she's focused extensively on women's issues and immigrant communities in America. She's currently writing a book of stories about women she's met throughout her travels.
