They say that bad behavior makes for good stories, so Ex Fabula explores the theme “Illegal” with two tales that highlight Milwaukeeans who behaved badly.
First, Brooke Maroldi shares a story that she shared at our “Confessions” event in October 2010. How does one get kicked out of the Life Savers pavilion at the World’s Fair in Brooklyn? One person’s mischief is another person’s “abomination”, it seems, and Brooke shares the hilarious tale – including how the events of the 60s came back to haunt her in the 80s.
Then, we hear a story from January 2010 when the theme was “Busted." Emmett Gross and a buddy were “natural born street hustlers” – up to a point. Thanks to the City permit office, however, their plans to make a killing on t-shirts went south.
