While the days are getting longer, many us have a case of the "January Blues." While there are folks excited about that next snowfall, there are just as many (if not more) ready to hop on a plane to somewhere warmer. The first time Sandy Brusin ever told a story for Ex Fabula, she was voted Audience Favorite. In a world before cell phones, Sandy arrived at the airport on a sunny Milwaukee afternoon. She was on her way to rendezvous with her husband in New Jersey to catch a flight to Isreal. When she landed in Chicago the sun had disappeared. Sandy was delayed not just once or twice, but three times. That's when Sandy called her son, slightly panicked about making her connection. Sure, Rebecca Segal knew how to ski - at least, she thought she did. Turns out, having skied once or twice does not mean the same thing as knowing how to ski in general - especially when her experience was limited to the bunny hill of a Wisconsin ski area and she was about to head up into the French Alps.
