How John Lennon's Death Impacted A Waukesha Family

It was 34 years ago this month when John Lennon was murdered on the sidewalk outside his New York apartment building.

Lennon's death came just a short time after his return to making music, and the release of the Double Fantasy album he recorded with his wife, Yoko Ono.

Lennon's death touched the lives of millions around the world, but they had a more direct impact on the life of a man named Jack Douglas, and a family in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

Writer Tom Matthews tells that little-known story in the December issue of Milwaukee Magazine, and he joined Lake Effect's Mitch Teich in the studio to share more about it.
