Lake Effect Weekend: Reflecting on the Rwandan Genocide, Titanic's Food & Drink, Radio Chipstone

This weekend on Lake Effect:

As many as a million people were killed in the Rwandan genocide 25 years ago. We look at what the world learned from the genocide and the justice that came afterward. Later, a Wausau native's new book is about the food and drink people on the Titanic consumed before the ocean liner sank. Radio Chipstone wonders why it's so hard to let go of our stuff, and Bubbler Talk visits the last remaining well in Milwaukee.

Guests:

  • Carine Kaneza Nantulya, Africa Advocacy Director, Human Rights Watch
  • Veronica Hinke, author, The Last Night on the Titanic: Unsinkable Drinking, Dining & Style
  • Gianofer Fields, material culture contributor; Nicole Gruter, professional organizer
  • Bubbler Talk (series)
