The study of history has always been one of the cornerstones of our educational systems. Knowing what people have done in the past is essential to understanding the world we live in today.

On this edition of UWM Today, we explore an area of history that has become increasingly important in our society: public history. You may not have heard the term before, but you almost certainly have seen the product of what public historians do. Joining us in the studio are Jasmine Alinder and Nan Kim, both associate professors of history at UWM, and Chris Cantwell an assistant professor of history at UWM.

Tom Luljak hosted UWM Today on WUWM for more than two decades and is the inaugural host of Curious Campus.
