Racine Horlick Students Locked Down, Released Early after Report of Shot Fired Across the Street

Racine police were summoned to a parking lot across from Horlick H.S. around 10 o'clock Friday morning, after reports of a fight and at least one shot fired.

The school placed students on lock down and then released them for the week, shortly after 11:00. Today had been scheduled as an early release day, but the time was moved up, because of the incident.

Racine police continue to investigate the fight. Officers have not yet made arrests or found anyone who was harmed.

Police and school leaders stood by, as students left the building.
