UWM's Dr. Joan Prince Talks About Her U.N. Experience

Jon Strelecki

When the United Nations General Assembly opened its annual session this past fall in New York, one of the top leaders at UW-Milwaukee was there serving in a very special role as one of the diplomatic representatives for the United States.

Dr. Joan Prince, Vice Chancellor of Global Inclusion and Engagement, was nominated by President Obama to serve as Alternate Representative of the United States to the Sixty-seventh Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations. She completed her United Nations service this winter, and has returned to UWM to resume her work as vice chancellor. On this UWM Today, Joan Prince shares her U.N. experiences.

(This program originally aired on February 28, 2013.)

Tom Luljak hosted UWM Today on WUWM for more than two decades and is the inaugural host of Curious Campus.
