Wednesday on Lake Effect: LIT Demands, Understanding Protests Through Film, Fair Housing Marches

Wednesday on Lake Effect:

We hear what young activists are requesting from the state to be more accountable for racial justice. Plus, two filmmakers speak about how film can be one of the best tools to help create understanding around the issues surrounding protests and anti-racist efforts worldwide. And we look back on the fair housing marches in Milwaukee and the parallels to the protests happening today.

Guests:

  • Darrol Gibson, managing director of LIT “Leaders Igniting Transformation”
  • Yoruba Richen, documentary filmmaker; Brad Lichtenstein, president of 371 Productions
  • Margaret Rozga, professor emeritus of English at the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha
