The Jazz Lab Combo, from MPS’s Milwaukee High School of the Arts is one of just two student groups in the country to win a major national award from DownBeat Magazine, the 2016 Performing Arts High School Outstanding Performances award. Not only that, but it was the third year in a row the school has been honored by DownBeat.

Milwaukee-raised songstress Lili K started performing young - through church and elementary school choirs. The Milwaukee High School of the Arts alum studied classical, opera and jazz vocals and received an education in arts, entertainment and media management at Columbia College Chicago.

Singer Jeannine Rivers has been serenading the Milwaukee area for years. Whether she’s at Caroline’s, the Pfister’s BLU Bar and Lounge or West Bend’s Café Soeurette, her powerful and expressive vocals, along with a mix of jazz standards and original compositions, make her an audience favorite.

When you listen to Milton, Wisconsin native Kat Reinhert, you can hear lots of influences in her music. She is a jazz singer and songwriter, but her lyrics feel more like they belong in pop songs. And, she also began her music career as a classical singer.
