Britney Freeman-Farr and Quinten Farr first met as teenagers at Milwaukee High School of the Arts, playing together in the jazz lab. A marriage, vocal cord surgery and a few albums later, the two are still together.

Britney, known by her stage name B~Free, boasts a soulful sound and a creative vision. The musical couple continues to push each other to achieve their goals while maintaining balance between support and criticism.

From curating "MJ Uncovered" to opening for Janelle Monáe at Summerfest in 2018, B~Free's skills as a musician have continuously been challenged and growing.

"I really just wanted to make anything that I touch completely different from what you would normally expect it to be," says B~Free.

B~Free and Farr joined Lake Effect’s Audrey Nowakowski in Studio C to share some original songs and discuss how music has impacted their life together:

B~Free and Quinten Farr will mark their debut at the Peck Pavilion tomorrow evening and will perform in the Northwestern Mutual Summer Music Series Aug. 13th. For more information and upcoming performances, click here.
