Mideast Upheaval May Mean Pain at the Pump

Local gasoline prices could be going up again soon according to an oil industry analyst.

Prices have risen about 10 cents a gallon in Milwaukee and throughout the Great Lakes region in recent days.

Gregg Laskoski of the web based monitor GasBuddy.com, says world events including unrest in Egypt and the security of the Suez Canal will affect prices.

In a release  Laskoski says, “The future looks dim as oil prices have risen $10 a barrel in just the  last two weeks. It’s all but guaranteed to mean another round of price increases,” Laskoski says.

Crude oil rose above $106 a barrel today in Asian markets.
