A Green Bay alderman says he's tired of seeing low-riding pants and exposed underwear. So Monday night, he'll urge a city council committee to ban saggy pants.
Alderman Dave Boyce says he finds the pant-wearing style offensive, and he thinks it demeans the city.
Its attorneys have told Boyce police might find the ordinance difficult to enforce, so he's suggesting businesses could refuse to serve people whose pants are riding low, just as some restaurants and stores turn away people with bare feet.
The town of Wildwood, New Jersey enacted a saggy pants ordinance this month. Fines range from $25 to $200, depending on how many times the person been cited for offending.
