NFL Players' Union Criticizes Wisconsin Right-to-Work Bill, Walker's Efforts to Weaken Unions
The NFL Players Association released a statement Tuesday, saying it's monitoring this week's debates and votes in Wisconsin on right-to-work.
The union says it stands with organized labor in the state, mentioning the food and commercial workers who serve Green Bay Packers players and fans at Lambeau Field in Green Bay.
"Governor Scott Walker may not value these vital employees, but as union members, we do," the statement reads.
It goes on to cite studies about wages in right-to-work states and what could happen in Wisconsin.
If the state become the 25th to criminalize mandatory union dues in the private sector, it appears the law would apply to all employees of the Green Bay Packers.
